Health Guarantee (1 Year)
KittyCatKat™ guarantees the kitten to be free from life-threatening congenital defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a life-threatening congenital defect within this period, the buyer must provide written veterinary documentation and notify the breeder immediately.
If a congenital defect is confirmed, the breeder may offer a replacement kitten when one becomes available.
This guarantee does not include routine veterinary care, parasites, environmental illness, injury, stress-related illness, or conditions that may develop after the kitten leaves the breeder’s care.
Dental conditions such as gingivitis or periodontal disease may be influenced by genetics but are also affected by environment, diet, and veterinary care and therefore are not automatically considered congenital defects.
A congenital defect must be confirmed by a licensed veterinarian and supported by diagnostic evidence indicating the condition was present at birth and is life-threatening.
Veterinary opinions may vary and diagnosis may require review by the breeder’s veterinarian before replacement decisions are made.
Buyer Initials: _______
Veterinary Responsibility
Buyer agrees to have the kitten examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup.
Failure to obtain a veterinary exam within this timeframe voids the health guarantee.
Buyer is responsible for all veterinary expenses after the kitten leaves the breeder.
Some veterinarians may choose to repeat vaccinations or treatments already administered by the breeder. These services are optional and at the buyer’s expense.
Buyer Initials: _______
Post-Sale Health Responsibility
Kittens may be exposed to common environmental illnesses after leaving the breeder’s home, including but not limited to upper respiratory infections, parasites, digestive upset, or stress-related conditions.
Because these conditions may develop due to environmental exposure, stress, diet changes, or contact with other animals, they are not considered congenital conditions and are not covered under the breeder’s health guarantee.
Buyer acknowledges that once the kitten leaves the breeder’s care, the breeder cannot control the environment or exposure to other animals.

Kitten Transition & Adjustment
Moving to a new home is a major change for a kitten. Even well-socialized kittens may experience temporary stress during the transition.
Temporary signs may include:
- hiding
- reduced appetite
- loose stool
- quiet behavior
- increased sleeping
To help the kitten transition successfully, the buyer agrees to:
- Keep the kitten in a smaller quiet room for the first several days before allowing full access to the home
- Provide fresh water and dry food available at all times
- Continue feeding the same food provided by the breeder during the transition period
- Introduce other pets slowly and under supervision
- Monitor litter box usage and hydration
If the kitten shows signs of not eating, not drinking, vomiting, or severe diarrhea, the buyer agrees to contact a veterinarian immediately.
Buyer Initials: _______
Transportation & Delivery
Kitten pickup may occur:
- At the breeder’s home
- At a mutually agreed public meeting location
- At an airport for hand delivery
Transportation costs must be paid in a timely manner according to the institution charging the fee.
Land transportation must be paid one week prior to travel.
Air transportation must be paid at the time airline tickets are purchased.
If a buyer fails to pay required transportation fees, the sale may be considered null and void.
Buyer Initials: _______
Buyer Responsibilities
Buyer agrees to provide the kitten with:
- proper nutrition
- routine veterinary care
- safe housing
- humane treatment
Kittens are living animals and require ongoing care, attention, and responsible ownership.
Buyer Initials: _______
Right of First Refusal
If at any time the buyer can no longer keep the cat, the buyer agrees to contact KittyCatKat™ before rehoming, selling, or surrendering the cat.
The breeder will have the first right of refusal to take back the cat or assist with placement.
Return of the cat does not guarantee refund of the purchase price.
Buyer Initials: _______

Cats are legally considered property.
Under no circumstances shall KittyCatKat™ be liable for emotional distress, loss of companionship, veterinary expenses, or indirect damages.
Any claim related to the kitten shall be limited to the original purchase price of the kitten.
